First IP Video Camera to Outperform NTSC
SAN CLEMENTE,
Calif. � March 22, 2004 � IQinVision Inc., creators of the advanced
IQeye family of smart network cameras announced the availability of
their breakthrough IP video camera, IQeye6. IQeye6 is the first IP video
camera that outperforms NTSC in resolution and frame rate, making it a
perfect match for today�s high performance IP surveillance systems. User
adjustable crop and viewing windows optimize resolution and frame rate
while minimizing storage and bandwidth requirements. Select NTSC and get
a blazing 55 images per second. HDTV images stream at 22 images per
second. And with four times the detail of �high resolution� NTSC, an
IQeye6 can replace mechanical PTZ cameras in many applications.
An advanced 1280 by
1024 progressive scan CMOS sensor provides ultra high resolution images,
resulting in pictures containing the details required for subject
recognition and legible license plates. Using JPEG compression expertise
and IQinVision�s own Image Processing Operating System (IPOS), IQeye6
streams over 20 million pixels per second. For optimal viewing and
recording, server based IP video systems are recommended. Additionally,
IQeye6 is network stable using core IP technology installed in millions
of network devices worldwide.

fast as the new 30 frames per second NTSC IP cameras just now entering

Bandwidth
management is a key feature in an IQeye6. Odd aspect (any size/shape
rectangle) offers substantial data savings in file sizes transmitted
over the networks and when stored on disk. Bandwidth throttling can
limit each camera�s use of network and storage resources. Other tools
like resolution on demand also lower bandwidth requirements.
In most
applications, with IQeye6�s megapixel resolution, one can replace two or
more traditional NTSC or IP cameras. In addition to saving on equipment
costs, file sizes and data costs are less than the alternative
multi-camera system. Replace a dome or PTZ unit with an ultra wide field
of view lens on an IQeye6 to capture everything, all the time.

The
IQInvision IQEye3
is an intelligent network camera with leading edge performance and a 1.3
Megapixel color imager. Capable of over 1.8 Mpixels/second JPEG
performance the IQeye3 is a perfect solution for a wide array of
applications.
Very low
power requirements and flexible network connectivity make the IQeye3 perfect
for deployment in a wide variety of environments. The optional IQpoet (Power
over Ethernet) make the IQeye3 easy to install and maintain.
The
IQeye3 platform contains a fully functional network computer that makes it
possible to watch live images using a web browser, configure the camera to
email and/or FTP images based on triggers or time lapse settings, or embed
custom web pages. Uncompressed images are available over the network for the
programmer, but be prepared with a dedicated 100 Mbps network, because the
IQeye3 produces an uncompressed stream that will flood a shared Fast
Ethernet network. In contrast, when providing compressed streaming JPEGs an
IQeye3 typically uses only 1 to 2 Mbps of a shared network.
Digital Pan Tilt Zoom is standard on the IQeye3, allowing simultaneously
multiple users to view different parts of the total image. Each connected
user can pan and tilt within the image, and can zoom in on interesting
details.
The
IQeye3 works great with standard industrial mountings and enclosures as well
as CS-mount and C-mount lenses. The standard camera is ready for your 1/2"
CS-mount lens.

Megapixel Lenses
The IQeye smart camera platforms
accept an almost infinite number of lenses. The IQeye3 has a megapixel
imager, so we suggest you use a lens that has a resolution capability that
matches the camera. Normal CCTV lenses do not take full advantage of the
resolution of the IQeye3, and you will notice the image improvement if you
select a megapixel lens.
The following table shows lenses
we have selected for their image quality using our IQeye3 1.3 megapixel
camera.
Lenses designated for surveillance
applications have the best available depth of field and brightness.
Lenses selected for machine vision are chosen for their fine focus
capability.
