The earth safe 10 system is designed as strictly a supplemental
power source which produces electricity matched to local utility
power in voltage, frequency, and phase.
The earth safe system will reduce the customer’s usage of utility
power by producing it’s own power to support electrical requirements
for any electrical appliance. In many locations, the customer will
be allowed to “net meter.” This means homeowners, who use solar
systems, run their electric meter backwards as they feed extra
electricity back to their utility, If more power is produced during
the course of the month than is used, in many states, the utility
will purchase the excess power from the customer. Net metering
allows the homeowner to obtain the benefits of solar energy, whether
or not they are using electricity at the same time their system is
generating power.
Siemens Solar has designed earth safe to be complete and modular.
Systems can be expanded as required. Each system is independent, has
its own disconnects, and can be connected to local wiring.
Systems can be installed by qualified electricians and contractors.
A set of blueprints for the system is available from Siemens Solar,
which can be submitted for permit purposes.
As a guide, use 12 square feet of roof for each 100 watts of AC
power.
earth safe° systems are compatible with 120 VAC and 240 VAC
earthsafe system kits consist of solar modules, universal roof
mounting kits, DC/AC inverter and interconnect hardware.
The heart of the earthsafe° system is based on Siemens Solar high
performance, monocrystalline SP-75 modules. Siemens Solar Modules
include a 25 year warranty the longest in the business.
 The universal roof mounting kit can be used on shingle, tile, or
flat roofs. Manufactured from stainless steel and aluminum hardware,
it is suitable for all climates.
The inverter supplies high quality AC power, and meets the
requirements of the National Electrical Code. Automatic
anti—islanding features continuously check and match the voltage
amplitude and timing of the utility power. Disconnects and ground
fault
protection are included. An optional power monitor is available.
