LED based medium intensity taxiway edge fixtures are
used
for all taxiways and aprons on airports using either medium
or high intensity runway lighting systems.

FAA L-853 markers may be used to delineate runways &
taxiways. Point Lighting supplies the product of an FAA certified
manufacturer (data upon request). “Retroreflective” means the material
reflects a significant amount of the light back in the direction of the
light source. The colored bands provide daytime marking and may also
function as snow markers. The markers consist of a 2.25-inch diameter
colored flexible polyethylene tube with bands of colored retro
reflective material. To meet FAA specifications, the marker must have
four bands on a tube at least 24-inches high. |

PAPI System provides the pilot a positive visual indication of the
aircraft’s position relative to the optimal glide slope during final
approach to the runway.
The L-880 PAPI system
consists of four units in a line or bar, each unit having two or
three 200 watt lamps. The PAPI unit produces a beam of light, the
upper portion being white, the lower red. As the pilot’s vertical
position changes, the color of the light asseen by the pilot changes
