Solar Power Radio for Oil & Gas Telemetry
Our Solar radio is a self-contained, solar-powered
communications system, designed specifically for the petroleum
industry's remote data acquisition needs in both land-based and
offshore operations. Each Solar radio provides steady, clean
power to a variety of telemetry systems, including wellhead, oil
field and pipeline monitoring sites, custody transfer stations
and natural gas automation projects. Units can be shipped
completely assembled and ready for immediate deployment.
Solar radio utilizes a unique, double-duty enclosure built to NEMA
3R/4X specifications, to allow complete integration of electronics
equipment, such as RTU board and data radio in a single enclosure.
Optional equipment includes pre-installed, customer-specified data radio,
RTU, antenna and relevant terminal connections. Sol radio can be
configured to meet Class I, Division II, UL requirements.
To meet the needs of customer-specified electronics, custom enclosure
sizes for the Solar Radio are available.

Highly automated communications process by which data are collected
from instruments located at remote or inaccessible points and
transmitted to receiving equipment for measurement, monitoring,
display, and recording. Transmission of the information may be over
wires or, more commonly, by radio. The technique is used extensively
for oil-pipeline monitoring and control systems and in oceanography
and meteorology.
